The way the game is played, is that it's rp based, you roleplay in the given area's as your trainer. The games master (me or Jacky Williams) will add in certain events (eg. wild pokemon encounters, encountering an item like a pokeball or something) they will also do the battles between two players or a player and a wild pokemon.
The way battles, beating wild pokemon and finding items are done by dice rolling [dice=50]. The games master, says what happens and that the player has to roll a certain number/s for it to happen.
When a trainer challenges another trainer, the amont of damage is determined through the dice roll. I'll give you an example
Johny Kidd meets up with Bobby Jones for a pokemon battle
Johny throws out a pidgey as Bobby throws out a caterpie
Johny gets pidgey to use gust and attack level + (move attack) + (effectiveness) + (opt. critical hit)
Bobbies caterpie can defend by going defense level + (pokemon type) + (type effectiveness)
It would be Pidgey's attack = 2 + [dice=50] + [dice=50] + [dice=50]
To get a critical hit you must roll a 40 or over in the critical hit thing. Once you get over 40 (you would have to edit your post) you have to add a critical hit roll
Caterpie would have
Caterpie's defense = 1 + [dice=50] + [dice=50] + [dice=50]
Then you add those together
Pidgey got 53 damage and caterpie got a 63 defense, you then take 53 from 63, so the overall damage to caterpie would be 10 damage. The battle ends until all pokemon have fainted
When battling a wild pokemon you do the same formula except the game master plays as the wild pokemon.
When finding items the games master will say that [name] sees something in the bushes and must roll [number/s] to see what it is, the person rolls if they get the item, if not they don't. E.g Greg Dimson is walking down a path and sees a circular object. Greg most roll a number over 23
Greg rolls a [dice=50] = 44. Greg rolled a 44 meaning he picks up the object and sees that he's obtained a pokeball
